The status of PME Excelência 2018 awarded by the IAPMEI – National Institute of Small and Medium
Enterprises and Innovation – in partnership with the major Portuguese banks is granted based on rating
notations and strict economic and financial criteria.
To be awarded, one must meet the following requirements:
- Financial autonomy (Equity/ Assets) >= 37,50%
- Return on Equity (Net results/ Equity) >= 12,50%
- NetDebt/EBITDA <= 2,50
- EBITDA / Assets >= 10,00%
- EBITDA / Tornover >;= 7,50%
- Growth in Turnover >=0
- Rating <= 5
